Short-listing criteria for IIMA Personal Interviews through CAT-2009

“A non-overseas category candidate who does not belong to the SC/ST/DA or NC-OBC
categories should have scored at least 25% in each of the three sections of CAT and at least 33% in aggregate. A non-overseas category candidate who belongs to the NC-OBC category should have scored at least 20% in each of the three sections of CAT and at least 30% in aggregate. A non-overseas category candidate who belongs to the SC/ST/DA categories should have scored at least 17% in each of the three sections of CAT and at least 25% in aggregate.”


In our process, we first selected 71904 General candidates, 11407 NCOBC candidates, 7526 SC candidates, 1822 ST candidates, and 396 DA candidates who satisfied these criteria. These candidates were considered for short-listing. Among them, the following candidates have been shortlisted for Personal Interviews:

General Category candidates: 562 candidates whose percentiles in each section were 96.1
and above, and who had an overall percentile of 99 and had 70% and above in 10th and 12th Standard were considered for personal interview.

NC-OBC Category Candidates: 200 NC-OBC candidates whose percentiles in each section were 89 and above and who had an overall percentile of 94 were considered for personal interview.

SC Category Candidates: 114 SC candidates whose percentiles in each section were 80 and above and who had an overall percentile of 85 were considered for personal interview.

ST Category Candidates: 53 ST candidates whose percentiles in each section were 67 and above and who had an overall percentile of 80 were considered for personal interview.

DA Category Candidates: 31 DA candidates whose percentiles in each section were 67 and above and who had an overall percentile of 80 were considered for personal interview.
