Students attend UK varsity spot admission

University of Wolverhampton and Global Tree Overseas Education Consultants hold the programme
Students aspiring to get international exposure and experience in post-graduate education in management, computer science, applied sciences attended the spot admission conducted by United Kingdom-based University of Wolverhampton in Guntur on Monday.
University South India manager Mini Menon-Pillai briefed students and parents on the courses, fee particulars, accommodation, academic excellence and other aspects they wanted to know before taking a final decision to take the plunge. The university in association with Global Tree Overseas Education Consultants organised the programme. "Indian universities are definitely among the best, but the international exposure a student gets by studying in the modern universities of United Kingdom cannot be matched with anything," Ms. Menon said. Theirs was one of the very few universities that offer a paid work placement programme, which provides students with excellent career opportunities as they have chances of getting a job after the completion of the masters. All the masters in Computing come with a 12-month work placement, while for other faculties, it varies from four to five months, she added. The Visa could be extended by two years and part-time work could be taken up legally, which in long term helps them get into some of the good companies internationally.
Resume preparation assistance and placement awareness programmes are conducted on the four campuses they have at about two-hour journey from London. The university assists students in terms of resume preparation, interviews with the employers for paid work placement etc.
Chancellor of this university is an Indian - Lord Swraj Paul. Out of the 23,000 student community, 2,500 international students gel well, she said. Indian students were taken care of well. Based on merit two top students coming from India are provided fully paid scholarships.
One such student Ancha Raghuveer, who had recently gone to the university from Guntur was very happy and thanked Global Tree for identifying a good university and getting him paid placement, the Global Tree local representatives said.
