Karnataka's government has formed a task group to convert seven state-run campuses into Karnataka Institutes of Technology (KITs).

The task group will determine the requirements of each of these institutions in terms of infrastructure, dormitories, and teachers, according to Karnataka's Minister for Higher Education, CN Ashwath Narayan, cited as saying by TOI.

We will execute the suggestions once the task force's [report] is presented, with both the government reserving Rs. 710 crores for this effort, the minister stated.

According to reports, the task group will choose two divisions from seven government engineering universities based on placement and would present suggestions and proposals on how to efficiently upgrade them to IIT-like institutes.

Jharkhand Prime Minister Hemant Soren said on Saturday that the government would soon introduce a policy of financial assistance for students preparing for competition exams. Soren talked here about the start of hiring local candidates in the private sector of Jharkhand and the distribution of appointments to about 11,000 young people in the private sector.  The CM said the Cabinet approved the new private sector policy rules on Friday. 

Under the new policy, private companies must make 75 percent reservations for locals, he said. To the young people who received the appointment, the CM said, Students wishing to prepare for competitive exams such as JPSC, UPSC, engineering, and medicine will receive financial support from the government to prepare. The policy will be applied soon for this.  

 

 He said recruitment training had been conducted in the state for the past few days. A  recently issued a letter of appointment to more than 250 people who passed the JPSC exam. Of the total of 35, we are below the poverty line (BPL), which is a great achievement. We hired workers from the Institute of Forensic Medicine for the first time, says Soren.

How to download the CUET admit card 2022?

2. A login window will seem on the screen.
