Murli Manohar Joshi concerned over rising fees in IIMs
Indore: Expressing concern over the rising fees in the IIMs, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today said this was leading to commercialisation of education.
"When the government was providing all financial assistance for the development of Indian Institutes of Management, why fees were frequently hiked and the students are being charged lakhs of rupees?" said former Union HRD Minister addressing a lecture organised on the challenges to higher education in Indore.
The fee hike was leading to commercialisation of education, he said.
Joshi said that truth will come to the fore if a study was carried out to look into what good the IIMs have done for the country in the last 10 years.
He said that the IIMs should run courses to address the issues of the commoners in the country.

This is really a big concern Indian government ahs given all the financial support to all the IIMs then why are they increasing the fees???
ReplyDeleteHi, I really agree to this the justification which IIMs are giving is that they increased the fees to provide students with all world class facilities, infrastructure etc...which seem to be white lie...
