Amidst political uncertainty and the
sluggish passage of the Foreign Educational Institutions Bill, foreign
institutions remain undeterred in establishing their campuses on the
Indian soil.
Another foreign institute among the
undeterred new entrants in India is Fazlani Altius Business School
(FABS), which has launched three campuses in Mumbai (Powai), Delhi and
Bhubaneswar last week. The school is expected to start its admission for
MBA (applied HR) and MBA (sales and marketing) courses from May 15.
"All sales and marketing students will get job offers on Day 1 of
admission," said Ashfaq Ahad, co-founder of FABS as per media reports,
where he also added that the AICTE approval is not required, however,
the school has got the UGC's approval.
While the Bill lies stagnant in the
parliament for almost two years, MISB Bocconi, a Milan-based
international B-School has chosen Powai, Maharashtra as its location for
the Indian campus. Without seeking approval from All India Council of
Technical Education (AICTE), the approving authority for technical
institutes across India to run their courses, the school has reportedly
started admissions to its two-year PG programmes in Mumbai assuring
students of a degree from its parent Milan campus.

On the other hand, a Canada-based
Schulich School of Business is preparing to open a campus in Hyderabad
in September, 2013. Even though, the relevant legislation may not be in
place when Schulich's campus opens next year, students will complete one
semester of their two-year MBA program in Toronto and be awarded with
Canadian degrees until India is ready with regulations. (Read more)
According to a news report earlier this
month, minister for human resource development, Kapil Sibal, had
exhorted the parliament to speed up the passage of the bill.

FABS...its fabulous. Before joining this B-school, I didn't have any knowledge about its format. But thanks to every single faculty as well as the management who genuinely helped me to understand my subjects providing a theoretical understanding from the practical perspective.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that absolutely helped me grow a lot, and not just me, every student at FABS will vouch for this. It is the Corporate Thursdays. On Corporate Thursdays, CEOs & CHROs of top corporate companies visit our campus and talk and discuss about relevant topics, this helps students to learn a lot more about the corporate world and real problems and solutions in small and big organizations. There was recently such a talk on GST which helped us learn a lot as well.
Pre-placement is the biggest differentiator between FABS and other Management Institutes. To top it is the 9 month paid internship I get with the very employer that hires me. This has helped me immensely, working shoulder to shoulder with corporates.

It was such a cheerful moment in my life when I came in contact with actual industry practitioners as my professors. The professors here are very cooperative and are fully packed with corporate experience. They will never let you go easily till the concepts are not cleared.
The concept of Corporate Thursday helped me to develop with my soft skills and confidence level.
The CXO's meets actually gave me a kick to the corporate world and helped me to be down to earth in all situations.
We had visited Amul Dairy, Gujarat Samachar, Pepsico, Saswad for corporate exposure, and all these visits were very knowledgeable.
Since I am from HR Specialization, I learned many concepts in employee engagement such as HR Activities, Motivation sessions, Training and Development, Social Projects, etc. I would be glad to mention that, we also got a chance to give training to more than 200 children in International School at Pune, where in we come to know the sincere efforts taken by any trainer at the time of their sessions, the Time management, Co-ordination, Team bonding, and Communication with various age generations come into actual picture. And the best part was to be appreciated from the Directors and CEO of FABS.
I would recommend FABS to anyone, who wants to do thinks differently, and not just in books and theory but put all the knowledge to practice in the 2 years of studies at FABS and ever after.
