Asia-pacific regions that have evolved as dream academic destinations

The international education in the beginning of 20th Century was just focused on to one place and that was USA. Even now in some parts of India international education is only related to USA or Germany mostly for Mechanical engineers and Dubai for Civil branch. But there was no such source for Medical but now things need to evolve, looking at the present scenario and condition of parents paying lakhs for a single MBBS seat.
This is where we coined the word APAC region. Referring to countries in the Asia-Pacific, this global space holds many education hotspots hidden in unique locations. Over the years, many international students have left familiar environments in pursuit of better quality of life and high-standard curricula in countries like Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
By taking the plunge into the unknown and investing time, money and professional aspirations into overseas universities and facilities, many have found a place of belonging and prosperity. At http://gkworks.in/ we are constantly making efforts to increase the horizon of distance education for our students in India by searching opportunities for MBBS in Russia and other ex-USSR countries like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan China, Ukraine, Georgia, Philippines (for more visit http://gkworks.in/mbbs-admissions/choose-country-university-mbbs-abroad/ ) some of these palaces you won’t even recognize but have some of the best medical colleges in the world.
Australia, New Zealand are some places which you will find much near to Asia and are turning into some of the world’s biggest international hub.
Yes, and how can we forget to mention Canada http://gkworks.in/skilled-immigration/skilled-migration-canada/ it is one of the best places to settle right now!
So all we want to say is open your eyes and look at the world with a global perspective, education abroad is no more a dream for just the rich and people with contacts. It’s for everyone now all you have to do is click here http://gkworks.in/ and take the first step.

How to reduce tuition costs while studying abroad

Studying overseas means opening a bank account, so you can pay rent, have a debit card and access to the same kind of financial avenues you expect to domestically. One of the most important is likely to be how to manage transferring money from one country to another.
Transferring money via banks, however, can be expensive, complicated and time-consuming.  With UK high-street banks adding charges of up to £40 per transaction, the cheapest way to send money abroad is usually with specialist foreign currency transfer companies. But since India is now turning into a digital country, there are some reforms which will be beneficial for you for easy access to money due to easy money transfer.
University costs will always vary between courses, and some cities have a higher cost of living than others. A study about living cost in different places found that the University of Amsterdam, for example, has tuition fees of £1,800 a year (compared to the £9,250 in the UK) with an estimated total cost (living, travel, fees) over three years of £37,400 - in comparison, the University of Manchester came out at £55,700 and the University of London £74,600. So one major factor to consider is that choose a place with minimum living cost which will be a huge benefit in long term.
And some other ways will be trying to get scholarship through your TOFEL score or GRE score, for that you need to research the college website and there offers and for that amount of research you need time but at http://gkworks.in/ we do that for you. Which then lead to saving of time and money at the same time.
One common option is to do a part time job, it’s not that hard to begin with because your university notice will be filled with them as small jobs of low wages are available easily and help you cover a lot of your daily expense.
What we want to say is, don’t overthink about stuff we have everything sorted out. All you have to do is contact us and visit http://gkworks.in/, good luck!

166 MBBS, 451 BDS seats remain vacant in Telangana, AP

EAMCET exam is giving student an opportunity to keep their options open to all fields unlike, NEET and JEE in other states. But that is leading to a serious problem. Majority student who work so hard crack NEET are unable to get seats without paying an annual amount which goes up to 50 lakhs if you are from open category. The best option for them will always be Study Abroad, and at http://gkworks.in/ we have been helping many students to make the right decision.
The Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) is fast losing popularity among students clearing the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) from both the Telugu States. According to the final phase of notification released by the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) and NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) the list of vacant seats reveals that as many as 166 MBBS and 451 BDS seats remained vacant in both the Telugu States.
ronically, several students from open category did not take admissions in the MBBS course despite being allocated seats. For example, A Lohithaskh with 192-rank and V Shreeja with 935-rank were allocated MBBS seats in the open category. However, seats of both the students have fallen vacant. Speaking to The Hans India, a senior official from the KNRUHS said, "The students either did not reported to the college allocated to them or their allocation had been cancelled, in case they took admission under the All India Quota (AIQ).
The trend is not only with the students from the open and unreserved categories, even those from the SC, BC and women reservations too have not joined in the MBBS courses under both the universities. Delay in the counselling process and the legal battles over the issue of GO 550 could be one among the reasons which might have forced some of the top rankers to move to other States. Further, the confusion created by the process had made some students opt to take admissions under the management quota or NRI quota.

Because there was some delay in the finalisation and declaration of the lists of both the all India quota as well as the second phase of counselling. It feels like parents are under too much pressure due to uneven condition of admission and plus spending lakhs of rupees. We hope that we will be of some help to parents who are in search for better option for their wards. Visit http://gkworks.in/ today!

Canada is a Top pick of Pune immigrants

Pune is known as the temple of knowledge, some of the most brilliant corporation are part of pune and numerous students are one of those people who go abroad and make our country proud by showing their skill and talent. It won’t surprise us to know that Canada is fast emerging as a favoured destination among Pune residents looking to immigrate in search of a better life.
The country already has the reputation of being far welcoming of immigrants than other first world countries. Current global socio-economic factors — including H1B visa restrictions in the US, stricter EU norms and Brexit in Europe and tougher eligibility criteria in Australia — make a strong case for Canada.

Numerous pune residents have been migrating to Canada saying that “The Canadian government has doubled the number of permanent residency (PR) visas. We started thinking about relocating when we were in Pune. The toss-up was between Canada and Australia and we instinctively picked Canada,” says Aparna Chandra who moved to Canada just about a month ago. “There are all kinds of job opportunities available here,” she says, but warns that some new migrants may have to start with what is called a “survival job”.

The above statement very much relates all the people at
http://gkworks.in/study-and-settle-abroad/study-settle-canada/ we have sent. Many people have to take up ‘survival jobs’ — stocking items in stores or as cashiers. However, the job search depends completely on core competencies. Canada wants close to 1 million immigrants over the next three years. Over the last few months, they have been getting nearly 100 applications every month for Canadian PR.

There are no restrictions on working or the sort of work one wants to engage in. It is not necessary to stick to only the area of core competency. One can pursue other lines of work as well in Canada. For all our friends at Pune who are looking forward to move to Canada make sure you visit http://gkworks.in/about/branch-offices/ or contact us at info@gkworks.in for all details necessary for you PR in Canada.

Global education options for Indian teenagers

If you are a regular reader of our posts then I am sure you must be aware of the changes in the international study abroad programs around the world. This article proves how beneficial and amazing the changes have been and how it will be step towards becoming truly global populace for all students.
The number of Indian students studying abroad is increasing rapidly, and a nearly 50% surge in the past decade is proof of the pudding. As per UNESCO data, by August 2017, over 3,00,000 Indian students were studying abroad. The reasons for an Indian teen to pursue higher studies abroad are myriad. International universities offer a vast variety of courses and better quality of education. That apart, the independent thought process that a student imbibes by way of global education is one that also enables youth to explore more opportunities. The prestige a family feels while their ward is studying and staying abroad, is of course, additional motivation. While the study-abroad options for Indian students may be as many as 86 countries, the USA, the UK, Australia and Canada are the most popular choices. Of the total number of students abroad in 2017, a whopping 69.5% chose the aforementioned countries as their destination for higher studies. Even though traditionally the USA leads the charts with just over 1 lakh Indian students, Australia has been emerging as the recent favourite. As of August 2018, Australia houses over 68,000 Indian students, up 16.8% from 2017, says data released by the Australian high commission in India. Both countries believe education to be a flagship sector as part of their bilateral relationship, and are doing everything they can to encourage exchange.
Australian universities have an impressive international reputation. The environment is safe, and immigration policies favourable. Australia offers world class standards of living with considerably lower expenditure than the USA and the UK. Up for grabs are attractive work opportunities to students, which can offset living costs to a bare minimum. Equal opportunities are ensured for students who have graduated out of a specific course, from any university in the country. The biggest advantage however, is the work rights - Australia allows students a work visa for two years post study. A student can completely recover the expenses incurred during the study period in these two years. It all depends on your planning before you actually go there, but for that you need expertise. At http://gkworks.in/ we have so many students who have made the best out the opportunity. For more details visit http://gkworks.in/study-and-settle-abroad/study-settle-australia/  and best of luck for your future!

Overseas students seek study, internship experiences in China

According to the Ministry of Education, China became the most attractive destination for overseas students among all Asian countries and regions in 2016, with the number of international students in China topping 440,000 that year, up 11 percent year-on-year.
China's growing global influence is one reason the school is seeing an increase in overseas applicants. More and more Chinese companies want to expand overseas, and an increasing number of international students want to play their part in that expansion, he said. Therefore, international students who want to master doing business in China will choose to study in China. In addition to studying, short-term internships and training are also attracting overseas students, according to secretary-general at China Education Association for International Exchange.
The officials in china say that “what they have seen here is the global industry leadership that cannot be learned in classrooms in the United States. Such experience and understanding is universal and will be of great help to these students, whether they want to set up their own businesses or join other corporations," Meanwhile, the China experience will be of great importance to these students if they want to seek higher positions in their future careers.
At http://gkworks.in/ we constantly meet parents  who ask for a destination which is situated more closer to India, well here is a perfect option http://gkworks.in/mbbs-admissions/mbbs-in-china/ visit for more details.

Study in USA: Good news for STEM OPT students, bar to work at client worksite lifted

There is a great news for people who are planning for study abroad in USA and are planning for a degree which falls under STEM. STEM is an acronym for the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Discussion of STEM-related programs has become a presidential priority because too few college students are pursuing degrees in these fields in places like USA where now other sources of income are more important for youngsters than getting an actual degree. This is the reason why international student are welcome to study and settle there to bridge the gap that’s emerging in their country. Considering this agenda, The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has evoked a sigh of relief by reversing its earlier stand that international STEM students undergoing Optical Practical Training (OPT) cannot be placed at customer worksites. The USCIS made the changes on Friday night and removed the restriction on STEM students working at customer worksites.
Though the bar has been lifted by the USCIS, the employers can only recruit Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics- Optional Practical Training students at customer worksites if-
·        All regulatory training obligations are met.
·        Employer maintains a bona fide relationship with the employee.
·        The student will not replace a full or part-time US worker.
·        Training opportunity will assist the student in attaining training goals.
International students are eligible for a 12-month OPT under which they can work in the US. The students who have completed a STEM degree are eligible to apply for an OPT extension of 24 months. The removal of this restriction will prove to be efficient in shaping the future of nearly 1.9 lakh Indian students who are studying in the US with STEM courses as the top draws.
Due to this earlier guideline, a lot of students who wanted to obtain work visas in the future were being adversely impacted and there was a risk of being debarred from entering the US for several years but with the new changes made on the website, STEM students undergoing OPT can get placed by following the necessary guidelines mentioned on the official website of USCIS https://www.uscis.gov/

80% NRI medical seats vacant even after mop-up counselling

It’s no breaking news when we here about the fee hike of Medical colleges all over India. After two rounds of regular counselling and the final mop-up counselling for MBBS seats in deemed universities, nearly 80% of the seats under NRI category are lying vacant, although almost all seats in the management category have been taken. The universities will now be allowed to admit students to these vacant seats after August 27. Now these are the seats where they will make crazy money and give those seat to people who are ready to pay instead to the one who deserve that seat.

Of the 919 NRI quota seats - 15% of the total seats - 731 seats across India were vacant as on Tuesday, according to the New-Delhi based Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). Although 176 students were allotted seats under NRI category in round 1, many did not join. In round 2, a total of 95 students were allotted seats and 58 others were allotted during the mop-up. If any of the 153 students, who were allotted seats in the second round and mop up counselling, did not join the respective colleges, they will have to forfeit Rs 2 lakh deposited at the time of registration with DGHS.

Sree Balaji Medical College topped the list with 36 vacant seats and Vinayaka Mission in Salem had the least with 15 seats. "Colleges will now convert these seats to management seats and allot them to students based on their own merit list. There is no guarantee that allotment will be based purely on merit," said R Seetharaman, a parent, whose son is waiting for MBBS admission this year. To such parents we request you to please atleast consider the option of study abroad, its for your own benefit and a better future for you child.

Fees for NRI quota seats is higher than the regular management quota seats. In some institutions, it touches $60,000. We have many parents who realised the reality of the situation and approached us in time, at
http://gkworks.in/  we will guide you to do the right thing. Visit http://gkworks.in/about/branch-offices/ today!

For International Students, Shifting Choices of Where to Study

You all have been reading so many posts related to constant changes in the global education stand of numerous countries, it’s obvious to get confused at this point cause the media is sending so many mixed messages. Sometimes it feels like, this is the most favourable time, then suddenly it feels like something is not right. There are so many questions like will Australia overtake the United Kingdom as the No. 2 destination in the world for international students?
Will the No. 1 destination, the United States, lose substantial numbers of students to Canada?
Is the recent order by the Saudi Arabian government that its citizens studying at Canadian colleges leave the country within a matter of weeks simply the most extreme manifestation of what two international education experts describe as a new period of "profound instability in international higher education"?
These are some recent fluctuations simply emblematic of the dynamism of the international education landscape, in which some countries see increases and others decreases in international student flows -- until a shift in policy or demand somewhere shifts the pendulum again?

Around the world there have been shifts in where internationally mobile students are going, with some countries -- most notably Canada and Australia -- seeing increases, while the traditional top destination countries, the U.S. and the U.K., see falling or stagnating numbers. And the sudden ordered withdrawal of thousands of Saudi students from Canada has served as a sober reminder for colleges of the geopolitical risks of relying heavily on any single population of international students for tuition revenue. Nearly half of all international students in the U.S. come from just two countries -- China and India
These issues are a bit confusing for both student and parents, but don’t worry it’s normal for all people, we have see so many families go through same confusion period, but after listening to our experts they accepted changes more easily and were able to keep an open mind and plan very precisely by knowing exactly what is there exact need. If are one of those family visit http://gkworks.in today!

More Indians choosing UK to visit and study: British High Commission

As you all are aware UK has been a great destination before brexit, and after that there was seen a little decline in number of international students, but according  to British High Commission in India on Friday said that there is an exponential growth in the number of Indians wanting to go to the United Kingdom to study and work.
According to a press release issued by the British diplomatic mission, a total of 550,925 Indians were granted UK visas in the year-ending June 2018, which is an upswing of 10 per cent than what was seen in the previous year. The number of Tier-4 general visa that allows a student to study in the UK, if he or she is over 16 years of age, touched 15,390, an increase of 32 per cent on the previous 12 months.
Besides, about 550,925 Indians were granted UK visas in the year ending June 2018, a 10 per cent increase on the previous year, the statement read. Moreover, over 6,500 Indians came to the UK for short-term study during the same period. This is also the third successive year that there has been a rise in student visa numbers. Over 60,000 work visas were also issued to Indians in 2017.
Not only in the education sector, but visit visas have also increased by 10 per cent to 454,658, a number that demonstrates that Indians prefer the UK as a top holiday destination.
The important thing to note is that there is a lot of emphasis on attracting more Indian students, not just UK but in Europe, Canada, US, Australia, Newzeland and For more details visit http://gkworks.in/study-and-settle-abroad/study-settle-europe/

How you can save enough to send your child to study in preferred foreign countries

Many parents who approach us have the same expression when they hear about the side expenses they will have other than the tuition fee of college degree. And it’s a bit predictable that not every parent knows that there ward will someday be interested in a foreign degree. Studying in a foreign university was once a dream only the uber intelligent or the super rich could see. But now, every Tanmoy, Deepak and Hari aspires for a foreign degree. And for good reason too. The supply of quality education in India is outstripped by the demand.

Every year, some 11 lakh candidates vie for the 11,000 seats in the IITs. The cut-off percentage for some of the coveted courses in top colleges has hit 99%. “The acceptance rate in Indian colleges offering quality education is below 2%. This has forced many Indians to look overseas. According to World Education News and Reviews, an education news portal, the number of Indian students enrolling in seven key foreign destinations has more than doubled from 1.38 lakh to 2.8 lakh in the past decade.
Here is a perfect article form economic times which help parents make it more easy to be prepared for that kind of money. The going will be very easy for those who have time on their side. Financial planners say one should start saving for the child’s education as soon as the child is born. The SIP required to amass a corpus of Rs 50 lakh will not be prohibitively high. The outflow will be in small portions and will, therefore, not put a burden on your overall finances. You will also get enough time to put a dynamic strategy in place, changing the asset allocation as per the market changes and increasing the SIP amount in line with the increase in your income.
But studying abroad can be prohibitively expensive. One year’s tuition fee in some Ivy League colleges can be almost Rs 30-35 lakh— almost equal to the total expense incurred on the child’s school education. Even second rung colleges cost the earth. A master’s course from a public US college costs Rs 20 lakh a year. You also need to factor in inflation and rupee depreciation. The rupee has fallen to 70 against the dollar, which is bad news for those planning to study abroad.
Then there are other costs to look at as well. If you take the cost of living, comprising accommodation, conveyance, academic supplies, health insurance and entertainment, add another Rs 10 lakh. The cost of living in foreign countries is also significantly higher but don’t worry we have services which will make it easier. Why it's time for Indian students to go global

At http://gkworks.in/ we always advice parents to choose study abroad over a local degree as we know that the market will never be low for a candidate who has global exposure. You will always be two step ahead in terms of experience, global outlook and handling clients of all kinds in any situation. An education abroad gives a student the opportunity and independence to make decisions, manage finances, deal with challenges and become solution-oriented that a stay-at-home education does not. This makes her or him the ideal prospect for hiring brands, especially those with international operations. And to prove our point according to the statistics number of international students globally rose from 28,00,000 to 41,00,000 in less than a decade from 2005.

As of 2017, of the 50,00,000 students globally who are studying outside their home country, almost 3,00,000 were Indians, and of this figure, more than 1/3rd went to North America, followed by close to 50,000 who went to Australia. India is different from and Australia is different from Canada, which is different from UK in everything from how people behave to what they buy to how they connect with brands. An understanding of these nuances thus makes an international student a global citizen and a right-fit-hire for global roles.

In knowledge terms, the girl or boy who goes abroad is an Indian, but the one who comes back is an Indian and a global citizen. What an education abroad may imbibe in you, or if you are a parent, then your ward, is a lifetime experience. SO stop over thinking and let your ward decide what is right for him, not all have the guts to say I want to take foreign education, we agree it is a bit expensive but if the person is ready from within the risk is worth a shot and it always better that one would rather say "I did" than "What if I had"! So to grab your seat among those students who are ready to become global citizens reach your nearest http://gkworks.in/about/branch-offices/ today!

Just 4 government school students make it to MBBS

Dated: 21st August 2018

Source: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/chennai/just-4-govt-school-students-make-it-to-mbbs/articleshow/65480377.cms

We all know that government school a lack in facilities, but that doesn’t mean they lack in talent, in a place like Tamil Nadu which is much forward in education and has 22 state-run medical colleges, offering 2,447 MBBS seats, a mere four candidates from government schools have gained admission to them this year.
Although, statistically, it is a 100% rise from last year when just two candidates made the cut, government school students have bagged an abysmal 0.16% of available MBBS seats this year.

In 2016, when admissions were based on Class XII marks alone, a total of 30 government school students secured MBBS seats. With just two more seats in government colleges available for mop-up counselling to be held on August 23, data released by state selection committee shows a steep 80% fall compared to 2016 admissions. The performance of government-aided schools is slightly better — 26 students joined MBBS courses.

NEET has left behind a section of students who can’t afford to pay high fees under the management quota or in deemed universities. Even with special training it may take a few years before they compete with students passing out of private schools. And that leads to no seats to actual deserving as the people who pay for private school are also capable of paying the higher price and we know how the system works, they prefer money over quality.

Admission to all medical and dental colleges is conducted by the state committee based on NEET-2018 marks, in accordance with the 69% reservation for backward and SC/ST communities. But admission to MBBS courses in the state was tougher in 2018 compared to 2017, and the last student from a reserved category to enter a state-run medical college in the state this year had a score of 200 in
NEET, as compared to 161 in 2017. The difference in scores compared to last year was the smallest among ST category (39) and widest among MBCs (88). For open category, it is 42 marks higher than last year.

The real question is where is all this talent going? why aren’t they getting the right opportunity? We suppose they lack behind in option of money, but even if they manage to make that happen the seat is already taken. This is the reason why we are trying to reach as many people as possible. Because there is another option which will be even better than relentlessly trying to get a seat here. Instead visit http://gkworks.in/about/branch-offices/ and book your seat for a degree abroad, where your true value will matter more! Have a great day!

More Indians going abroad for studies, but foreign students aren’t coming in

There is no wonder why the headline doesn’t astonish us anymore as we look at the state of our MBBS student who still haven’t got sit in colleges due to improper decision of placement committee. While the government has stepped up its efforts to improve the quality of higher education institutions in India which doesn’t seem to be working out very well, more and more Indian students seem to be preferring to study abroad.
The number of foreign students coming to India, meanwhile, has declined. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), while spending on tuition and hostel fees by Indian students studying abroad has shot up 44% from $1.9 billion in 2013-14 to $2.8 billion in 2017-18, expenses of foreign students in India declined from $557 million in 2015-16 to $479 million in 2017-18.
When overseas education expenses by Indian students had fallen by 20% to $1.98 billion from $2.47 billion in the previous year in 2015-16, experts and government authorities had claimed that a growing number of quality institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and central universities, were instrumental in curbing the exodus of Indian students. Besides, tough immigration rules in countries such as the UK were also cited as a major reason for the reversal in trend.
But since the situation has now changed and there so many other options now like Canada, Australia, New Zealand other than UK and USA it seems all countries are trying to make their policies more favourable for international students. Stating the fact Australia has been a favourite destination. Rod Hilton, deputy high commissioner of Australia in India, said last week that his country is home to 68,000 Indian students (up from 60,000 in 2016), and education is a “flagship sector” in Australia-India relations. If you are planning for education abroad there is no waiting for it, the opportunity is now!  so grab it and visit GKworks office today, for more details visit http://gkworks.in/

Medical Aspirants Move Court Against Allocation of NRI Seats

We cannot say that we haven’t predicted this would happen, there is no limit to how much we need to spend for a MBBS seat in India, instead we can get the same seat at half value abroad that too with world class equipment and syllabus. Four medical aspirants have moved the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench, claiming that they never opted for the NRI seats that were allotted to them in Maharashtra’s NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences. The students have told the court that the fee charged for the NRI seats is too high for them to bear.
The students found themselves in a puzzling situation when they were granted admission under the NRI quota in a medical college in Maharashtra.
The students filed the petition before the court contending that the State Common Entrance Test Cell allotted them MBBS admission under the NRI quota without informing them even though they never sought those seats.

In their petition, the girls said that the fee for a medical seat for a Non-Resident Indian in the college is Rs 34 lakh per year irrespective of their category. On the other hand, the fee for a seat under the OBC category is Rs 19,000 in a government college and Rs 4.84 lakh in semi-government colleges. The fee for students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category is Rs 19,000 in all medical colleges. NRI seats are reserved to generate more revenue for medical colleges but due to high tuition fee, many of these seats remain vacant and are then converted into general category seats. Reports of NRI seats being sold to ineligible candidates have also surfaced from time to time.
Admissions through NRI quotas are not limited to medical colleges only. Managements of engineering colleges were recently permitted by the Kerala government to transfer their vacant seats to the NRI quota.

Centac to hold MBBS mop up counselling for NRI candidates on August 17

A very happy independence day to you all. We will be celebrating our 72nd Independence day today. After so many years of consultation to some brilliant student who were equally talented but couldn’t afford the fee for an MBBS seat in their own country, such news makes us think twice about the education system and the way quota system makes student life miserable, which is one more reason why we advise our student and parents to study abroad as the system in India is becoming unbearable with enormous fee structure and quota system.
The Centralised Admission Committee (Centac) will hold a mop up counselling for 16 MBBS seats in Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute under the non-resident Indian (NRI)/NRI-sponsored candidate. Noww these seats if not allotted will be wasted or sold to someone who is willing to pay the highest pirice.
Look at this number of vacant seat, as many as 107 Telugu and Christian minority MBBS seats are vacant in two private medical colleges after the second round of counselling on Monday. There are 70 Telugu minority MBBS seats vacant in SVMC and 37 Christian minority MBBS seats vacant in Pims. Just five seats were filled in SVMC as against the total seats of 75 and 13 seats in Pims as against the total 50 seats under minority quota.
And to make it worst there are cases like these where the committee has withheld allotment of two seats in IGMCRI under Yanam general following a court’s order. The committee will decide on the allotment based on the outcome of a case pending before the Madras high court. Where do the common people fit in! Looking at these situations we advise without wasting any time visit http://gkworks.in/ secure you dream use them to contribute to society by fulfilling your study abroad dreams first.

Stay orders on counselling become cause of worry for medical aspirants

You people are aware of situation going on for MBBS admissions. The process has already started few got their seats but the second round is still taking a hit due to numerous issues which display the unorganised decision making and confusion in the seat placement committee itself. As the last date for completion of admission of MBBS and BDS to medical colleges soon approaches, the rally of stay orders on the counselling process has become a great cause of worry to the aspirants. It is obvious that August 31 is the last date for completion of admissions, the university administration is still struggling to move ahead with the second and final counselling as petitions have been filed against implementation of GO 550 while allocating seats to reserved candidate. It’s just chaos all over and many have even got loans at hand but don’t have a guaranty of fix admission even after such a long wait and struggle.

SFI state secretary Ramesh called it a shoddy problem interpretation of reservation system by the university and said, “This is the first time when 15% of the seats in government colleges are allocated to national pool, where BC and OC women were not given representation as per the standard roster system. When it came to allotment of reservations in the 85% state quota, the university should have considered this discrepancy and compensated the seats lost, for BC category.”

The actual fact is university’s responsibility is to see that the reservations are allocated in such a way that 50% of the seats are filled under open category, and reservations are applied as per GO 550, in the other 50%, while on the other hand, the state government is heading to file a petition against high court order given on August 5, to proceed with second counselling without considering para 5(2) of GO 550.

It’s very painful to watch student suffer only to get average medical education paying lakhs of rupees, when they can in fact get world class education abroad with less expenses than in India, for more details visit http://gkworks.in/mbbs-admissions/

Moving On from ‘Brain Drain’, Colleges Are Now Leveraging the Success of The Indian Diaspora

We have been confronting this brain drain issue since last decade. It’s amusing how things have taken a different turn, colleges who would criticize their student for applying to universities abroad are now praising the same student and leveraging their success to boost their own quality of education. According our opinion, it’s about opportunity. Brain drain’ was a major rallying cry in the 1970s and 80s it appeared as if India and many other countries were investing in training highly skilled professionals so that the USA could benefit from their talent which turned out to be a complete lie.
There were two aspects of the brain drain, linked with patriotism and public finances. The move abroad was seen by the elite, who didn’t move as an abdication of responsibility, as a step towards undertaking the ‘big reforms’ that India required and young Gandhi had talked about.
For those who did move, the prospect of working in the best laboratories of the world and living in large homes, or enjoying a vastly improved standard of living overturned any patriotic sentiment that they may have harboured. This turn of events occurred due to the tremendous success of highly skilled Indian emigrants and also because their continued links with India through economic and social remittances limited the negative fallouts of the brain drain. Economic remittances from these emigrants filled the foreign exchange offers and grew to comprise an amount representing nearly 2 per cent of India’s GDP. The rapid growth of India’s IT and health sector enterprises was facilitated by close contacts with the latest developments occurring in the rich world via the high-skilled Indian diaspora.
In fact, it turns out those people who went there were more open to help their country with a greater impact and made name of India for being a country of talented gems thus increasing our values in world economy. So be proud for choosing education abroad because you will be becoming a global workforce. For study abroad details and coaching visit http://gkworks.in/ .

Are Australian universities planning to enrol more international students?

Australia is booming with international students. It’s a growth that has become more controversial in recent years. While stakeholders hail the benefits they receive from a more diverse student body, other segments of society have condemned it for letting foreign forces interfere with academic freedom and for the disproportionate number of students from a select few countries
ANU’s decision presents another downside: Schmidt’s comments appear to suggest that a large international student population will impair university qualityThe University of Queensland and the University of Melbourne have no plans to cap their international enrolments at current levels. UQ Deputy Vice-Chancellor for External Engagement, Rongyu Li, said in a statement: “There is no plan to cap international student numbers at current levels, but we are striving for greater diversification of source countries, discipline offerings and associated new academic offerings.
A spokesperson for the University of Melbourne said “demand from international students for the University of Melbourne’s world-class degrees remains high, as it has been in recent years”.“The University anticipates that the present strong demand from international students will continue in the future”.
This survey follows a report last week which found that Australia has most likely surpassed the UK as the second favourite study destination for international students. International higher education student commencements grew from 187,000 in 2013 to 319,000 in 2018.

MBBS’ FEE HIKED BY 300%

Dated:  Sunday, 12 August 2018

We have been aware of the process going on for MBBS admission, the delays and those enormous fee hikes. The fee hike went almost to 1 Crore for a single MBBS seat. This was terrifying for many parents. It seemed for some time that government was taking action by compelling all colleges to follow one single fee structure. But still it seems to have no effect looking at this recent case. The parents of the students of Swami Ram Himalayan University have alleged that the university, violating all norms, has hiked the fees of MBBS course by 300 percent. They informed that university has hiked the fees of State quota MBBS students from ` 4 Lakh to `10 Lakh and All India quota from `5 lakh to `15 Lakh per year.
The patron of the Private Medical University Parents association, Ravindra Jugran said that Supreme Court (SC) ruling clearly states that the fee should be determined by a ‘Fee regulatory committee’ but since the Uttarakhand High Court has cancelled appointment of President of Committee, it is defunct in the State. He said that taking advantage of the situation, the University has steeply hiked the fees claiming that permission for it has been granted by ‘Fee Appellate Authority’. Jugran said earlier too, the private medical colleges of the State had hiked the fees but following the protest by students the State Government ordered its reversal.
Looking at such cases admission for MBBS seems like almost impossible for a middle class family. Due to such situation in India, we at http://gkworks.in/ recommend study abroad to many students, and finding that MBBS abroad is much cheaper than in India plus the benefit of exposure to the international environment are meant to boost the career of each and every student many parents happily invest in sending their ward to numerous countries with amazing advanced techniques to teach, for more details visit http://gkworks.in/mbbs-admissions/.

MCI WILL LAUNCH NEW MBBS SYLLABUS NEXT MONTH; NEW SYLLABUS TO BE EFFECTIVE FROM 2019 SESSION

Dated: 9th August 2018

Now here’s some news for the applicants who are going to apply for MBBS in upcoming years. There have been many complications in the admission process already and now parallel to that The Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to change the syllabus of bachelor’s degree programme in medicine which will come into effect from the 2019 session onwards. Dr. Reena Nayar, secretary of MCI has confirmed that the new syllabus is ready and will be available next month. The new syllabus will be published next month. The syllabus is now ready and final proofreading is in progress. By September the brand new syllabus for the upcoming doctors of the nation will be made available.
It is said that the new syllabus will focus on skill-based and hands-on training much similar to what you will find in education abroad at much lesser cost.  The old syllabus was mostly theory, especially on anatomy, pathology, and physiology. The new syllabus tends to be focused on guidelines issued by the World Federation for Medical Education. The new syllabus will have more emphasis on skills and will have competency-based tests. Thus, the new syllabus is seeming to be more relevant with the current scenarios of the medical world. The MBBS aspirants of the nation who are looking forward to taking admission in MMBS courses must be ready to face a brand new curriculum. However, all these changes seem to be promising and are towards the welfare of the candidates there are some uncertainty which make study abroad a better option. There is still confusion about effect of ne syllabus on NEET study syllabus, keep tuned for other updates and candidates interested in study abroad visit http://gkworks.in/
