Now here’s
some news for the applicants who are going to apply for MBBS in upcoming years.
There have been many complications in the admission process already and now
parallel to that The Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to change the
syllabus of bachelor’s degree programme in medicine which will come into
effect from the 2019 session onwards. Dr. Reena Nayar, secretary of MCI has
confirmed that the new syllabus is ready and will be available next month. The
new syllabus will be published next month. The syllabus is now ready and final
proofreading is in progress. By September the brand new syllabus for the
upcoming doctors of the nation will be made available.
It is said
that the new syllabus will focus on skill-based and hands-on training much
similar to what you will find in education abroad at much lesser cost. The old syllabus was mostly theory, especially
on anatomy, pathology, and physiology. The new syllabus tends to be
focused on guidelines issued by the World Federation for Medical
Education. The new syllabus will have more emphasis on skills and will have
competency-based tests. Thus, the new syllabus is seeming to be more relevant
with the current scenarios of the medical world. The MBBS aspirants of the
nation who are looking forward to taking admission in MMBS courses must be
ready to face a brand new curriculum. However, all these changes seem to be
promising and are towards the welfare of the candidates there are some uncertainty
which make study abroad a better option. There is still confusion about effect
of ne syllabus on NEET study syllabus, keep tuned for other updates and
