CAT 2013 Day 8 first session is over. Verbal section was easy
but Logical Reasoning was time consuming. This article brings you the

Today
was the day 8 of CAT 2013 exam. The first session for Day 8, on
October 25, got over this afternoon at 1.00 PM. MBAUniverse.com

spoke to students for their first reaction. As per the student’s
feedback, Verbal section was easy but Logical Reasoning was time
consuming. Students also said that Quantitative section was however
Moderate in difficulty level in comparison to Verbal section.

“Quant was as per my expectation and was not much difficult. Verbal was
very easy for me. I solved nearly all the question including RC
passages.”
One of the test takers
of CAT 2013 in Greater Noida, Anuj Yadav said, “All was fine except LR
question sets. All the three sets in my paper were very calculation
intensive and consumed a lot of my time. Otherwise I am happy with my
paper.”

Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation: Moderate
The Quantitative Ability
area had maximum questions from Algebra followed by Geomtery and
functions. Rests of the questions were from other usual topics such as
Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Time Speed & Distance,
Number system, etc.
Data Interpretation
area saw questions on Pie Chart , Venn diagram and Caselets and was
termed as average in difficulty level by many students.
Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning: Easy & time consuming
The Verbal Ability
questions were termed as easy by the candidates. Verbal Section covered
questions from all topics like Reading Comprehension, Para Jumble,
Vocabulary, Error correction in paragraph, identifying the Out of
Context sentences. Passages were in between 600-650 words and were easy
to understand with direct questions.
The Logical Reasoning
questions in CAT 2013 Day 8 were time consuming and calculation
intensive. Questions sets were based on sequencing, blood relations and
circular arrangements.
