FMGE 2018: NBE declares results for another 350 Withheld Candidates
The results for the 350 withheld
candidates who appeared for the December session Foreign Medical Graduate
Examination 2018, (FMGE) have been published by the National Board of
Examination (NBE).
Earlier, the December session Foreign
Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2018 result has been declared for 157
candidates, 774 candidates and 338 candidates by the National Board of
Examination (NBE).
In order to obtain ample documents from
some candidates, the results for these 350 candidates has been withheld by the
examination conducting body.
According to the official announcement, “Subsequent
to submission of deficient documents, the result of 350 candidates whose
results were earlier declared as Withheld has been declared.”
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) entrance exam is a mandatory one for
all foreign medical graduates in order to practice medicine in India.
The screening test FMGE 2018 results was
declared on 4th January 2019,
7th January 2019, 11th January 2019 and 15th
January 2019 via NBE/FMGE official websites.
It is been stated that as per the
Screening Test Regulations 2002, the conducting body of Foreign Medical
Graduate Examination, National Board of Examination (NBE) has introduced this
FMGE-screening test. According to the regulations, “An
Indian citizen/Overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical
qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous
of getting provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India
or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify a
screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per
the provisions of section 13 of the Act.”
