Tips to Score Well in the SNAP Examination

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), is the common written entrance exam to qualify for MBA programs at Symbiosis International University, Pune. The exam will be held on December 15, 2013.
Although, qualifying the exam is not an easy task, its not that difficult either.
Candidates aspiring to appear for the SNAP 2014 test should prepare systematically for the exam, to avoid last minute confusions.
To start with, candidates should make a list of various topics they need to cover and allot time to it. Candidates should ensure that they stick to the schedule.  They should also aim to complete the particular topic in the scheduled time-span.
Before getting in to the details of the subjects, candidates should refresh the basics. This would help them while studying the advanced topics.  Sections of Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation may have indirect, twisted questions that could be solved only if the basics are clear.
Candidates should be confident with the formulas and equations to save time and also solve the problems fast and accurately.
Besides, Analytical and Logical Reasoning section has the maximum weightage, so, candidates should focus on it and prepare it extensively with the help of different case-lets and arrangement questions to score well in the section.
Candidates should work on their grammar and communication, for this, refer junior school grammar books and try to use the words and idioms learnt in everyday conversation.
Also candidates should attempt various exercises given in these grammar books.
Besides, read at least one English newspaper daily. This will not only help candidates in building vocabulary but also help them with the General Awareness section.
Above all, solve as many test papers / mock test / last year papers etc as possible.  This will help not only in solving questions accurately, but will also enhance your speed and improve your focus.
Collect appropriate study material from various sources --- coaching, market, from students who have taken the exam previously -- so as to have some practice material.
Discuss topics with your teachers and classmates to gain knowledge and clear confusions, if any.
Also, keep revising the earlier finished topics.
Do not commit the mistake of keeping the General Awareness section for the last because there is no closed syllabus for this section. As such, try to stay up-to-date with current affairs and matters of international and national significance from the day you plan to study till the day you go to appear for the exam.
We, at Jagranjosh, hope that by following these tips you will be able to give your best in the SNAP 2014.
Good luck!
