As soon as the board exam results have been announced, many candidates who passed their Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) as core subjects wish to become a doctor. Yet there arises a confusion about choosing between the MBBS and BDS. Most of the medical aspirants end up choosing the MBBS course as they have limited knowledge about the BDS course . BDS is the best alternative to MBBS. The BDS graduates are referred to as dental surgeons, yet they can use the term doctor before their name. Many dentists prefer to use doctors before names as it is not entirely prohibited.
