University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is a university located in Dehradun. The university now had declared its schedule for admission 2022-23. The admission for MBA in the university will be carried through entrance test, known as UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET). This is an aptitude test conducted for selecting eligible candidates for MBA for each academic year.

Eligibility criteria for MBA in UPES


The admission for MBA in UPES will be held based on filtering process in different stages like– CMAT 2021, UPESMET and interview/ group discussion. About 30% of the seats will be occupied on the basis of national level exams like CAT or XAT. The basic eligibility criteria for MBA admission includes-

  • Exemption from UPESMET – candidates who secure above 70% score in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), 2021 will be directly selected for attending interview and group discussion. They do not need to come through UPESMET.

  • 50% or above score - in Common Admission Test (CAT) or Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT). 

  • 400 or above marks in Graduate Management Admission test (GMAT)

  • 120 or above marks in NMIMS Management Aptitude test (NMAT)

IIFT 2022 is scheduled to be convened on December 5. The IIFT question paper is divided into Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Analysis, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and General Awareness (GK).


In topper's suggestions students should focus on giving the mock tests and undergo self analysis. Also more attention should be given on already prepared subjects. Pattern of IIFT Exam 2022-


The IIFT question paper is consist of four sections- 


  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension

  • Quantitative Analysis

  • Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning

  • General Awareness (GK)


The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension

consists of a total of 35 questions.Quantitative Analysis section had 25 questions.Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning contains 30 questions. General Awareness (GK) has a total number of 20 questions.

In the first three sections 3 marks will be awarded for each of the right answers. While for general awareness (GK) section 1.5 marks will be given for each right answer.

  • Do not forget to carry the admit card to the exam centre.

  • Punctuality is a must,try to be on time at the examination centre.

  • Do not forget to carry the requisite documents.

CAT ,the MBA entrance exam is conducted every year for scanning eligible students to be admitted in Top management colleges of India. This year's CAT examination was scheduled on November 28  and was organised in 159 cities of the nation in online mode. The examination was tougher than the previous year. The previous year cut off score of India's top management institutes including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode was 99+ to 100 percentile. There's good news for the aspirants who are seeking admission in several universities and  colleges offering MBA degree programs.

Application forms for various MBA entrance exams other than CAT have been released.

Application forms for SNAP, IBSAT, MICAT, MAT and others are availed for filling now.

Although  registration for CAT has been closed, so students can utilise the other entrances for getting admission in management colleges.


Here we are providing the list of those entrance exams along with their individual details.


IBSAT-


IBSAT entrance exam is conducted each year as an eligibility criteria for scanning students to be admitted in management institutes such as IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses of IBS Business schools.IBSAT is a university scale exam. The date of exam conduction is scheduled for December 25 and 26. The last date for submission of application forms is December 16, 2021. The results are scheduled to be declared amidst December's last week and January's first week.


MICAT-


MICAT is an institution scale entrance exam.The schedule of exam conduction is twice a year. The application form for MICAT(2) ,2022 will be released on November 23.Last date for filling up the application forms is December 16.The date of exam conduction is scheduled for January 29,2022.The admit cards will be released on January 25, 2022. The date of result declaration is scheduled for February 18, 2022.


MAT-


MAT is the national scale entrance examination conducted for scanning students to be admitted in management institutes.All India Management Association is the conducting Authority of MAT.  The applications for MAT will be released from the first week of January 2022. The frequency of MAT conduction is four times a year. MAT admit cards are going to be generated after the second week of March 2022. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in the second week of March 2022. And the date of result declaration will be March/April 2022.


KIIT-


KIIT is conducted for scanning the eligible students for providing MBA admissions in Kalinga Institute for Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar. The entrance is scheduled to be conducted from January 15 to 17, 2022. The applications for KIIT are accepted via online mode until January 10, 2022.


IRMASAT –


IRMASAT is an MBA entrance exam conducted on the National level for admitting students in several known management institutes. The students have only one chance for appearing in IRMASAT. The conduction of entrance exam is once in a year. December 30, 2021 is the last date of submission of application forms. The exam is scheduled to be conducted  on February 18 and 19, 2022 in online mode.


XAT-


XAT stands for Xavier's Aptitude Test. Xavier School of Management is the conducting authority for XAT. The XAT is conducted for scanning the eligible candidates for admissions in several management institutes of India.

November 30, 2021is the last date for submission of the application forms. The XAT entrance will be conducted on January 2, 2022.
