The official website of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) says that the registration deadline for the second CMAT test has been extended from January 2 to January 9, 2013.
CMAT was introduced by AICTE last year as a single-window entrance test to all institutes approved by it offering postgraduate management programmes. CMAT is also a gateway to the MBA programmes offered by university departments of various states.
The first CMAT test was conducted successfully in September 2012 and the second one is scheduled for February 21 to February 25, 2013. The result of the second test is expected to be declared on March 13, 2013.
The state governments will allot seats to students on the basis of central counseling and the detailed merit list provided by AICTE.
