The first statement that will catch your eye is this one article is “Most seats that go vacant are from NRI or institutional quota (15% of total seats) because private institutes charge a lot of money for these seats,” said Dr Pravin Shingare, director, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER).
As a reader you can easily understand how hard it is for few unfortunate people who don’t make it into the top layer and need to rely on the empty slots which are then given to the highest bidder, but rarely to those who deserve a second chance.
Despite 13 lakh aspirants from across India, who appeared for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) to bag one of the 66,000 seats in undergraduate medical and dental institutes this year, several seats remain vacant despite three rounds of admissions.
In Maharashtra alone, 248 medical seats remain unclaimed. Of these, 243 are available at private medical institutes. As per figures revealed by MH-CET Cell, around 217 seats out of 225 NRI seats are yet to be filled after three rounds of admission. List for vacant dental seats is yet to be released.

Parents need to understand that there is no need to wait for such door ways to open. You can get your ward into to some of the world’s best medical institutes in half the price you will be paying for NRI seat. It is obviously the best choice and lots of parents are realising it and numerous have successfully sent their wards to their dream destination with assistance of our expert guidance at http://gkworks.in/. We understand that many of you think that it will be too complicated to take such a huge decision, but believe us when we say that it that very nature which makes government colleges hike the prices cause not all people are aware of the opportunities that lay beyond the Medical colleges in Maharashtra. The choice is yours…

Good vibes from UK: Bring back work visas for overseas graduates, say UK universities

Date: 4th Sept 2018
Source: https://www.theguardian.com/education/2018/sep/04/bring-back-work-visas-overseas-graduates-say-uk-universities

The fact is International student numbers in UK is flatlining as it fails to compete against likes of US. US is slowly decreasing its popularity due to some policies which will make it hard for people from other countries work in US, but you need to understand that it is still one of the great destination for MS. We have numerous candidates at http://gkworks.in/ who are still much interested in US, the thing is the value of US degree is still the same, the only thing is getting a work visa, but Canada is ready to take in these graduates immediately, which seems to be working fine for people and the Canadian government.
This is the major reason why British universities have called on the government to reintroduce a visa that would allow overseas students to stay in the country to work for up to two years after graduation. They say it would give the UK a competitive edge over rival countries and help it maintain the 450,000 international students, 134,835 of them EU-born, who come to study in Britain every year.
If this happens even after Brexit working in UK after graduation will not be a problem making it the best place for a degree due to low living cost compared to US. However, the UK’s closest competitors, such as the USA, Australia, France and Germany, all continue to grow at a faster rate than the UK. While student numbers in 2014-15 rose by 9.4% in the US, 10.7% in Australia and 8.7% in Germany, the UK rate was 0.5%. Launching proposals for a time-limited visa, Sir Steve Smith, the vice-chancellor of Exeter University and chairman of Universities UK’s international policy network, said the visa would be an important source of soft power in the post-Brexit era.
For people who have UK in their mind, you hang in there. It seems that the wind is about to change and it will definitely bring some positive changes for people getting ready for their UK degrees. Judgment on whether medical aspirants can purse overseas MBBS without qualifying NEET to be passed soon

Date: 4th Sept 2018
Source: https://www.indiatoday.in/education-today/news/story/can-medical-aspirants-pursue-overseas-mbbs-without-neet-1331570-2018-09-04

This has been the most ragging issue among experts at http://gkworks.in/  since it was a major change which will completely change the way MBBS abroad works. If you're a medical aspirant and wondering if you can pursue overseas MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) without qualifying NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), read on.
The judgment for a petition demanding no NEET qualification for MBBS aspirants planning to study medicine abroad is pending with the High Court of Delhi.
Let’s go a bit deeper into this matter and try to understand Why students go abroad to study medicine? This question will clarify the doubts of parents who are still relying on government to do something about remaining seats and price hike.
In the article mentioned in the source Saju Bhaskar, President of Texila American University, an overseas university based in the Caribbean says that
"Many students may lose the chance of enrolling for MBBS this year as they have not qualified NEET, there are less than 60,000 medical seats in India including both Government and private medical colleges, The key reason why students go abroad to study medicine, is because of lack of seats in India, cost effective education fees and an opportunity to practice abroad with better pay packages. Many students will lose a year or more if NEET qualification remains the deciding criteria for pursing MBBS abroad,"

Now what the current rule for foreign medical graduate states that is, once a foreign medical graduate returns to India to practice as a doctor, he/she will have to go through a stringent process of clearing FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) exam. Only once he/she clears it, he/she can practice as a doctor in India.
Now when we have exam FMGE, which is mandatory, NEET shouldn't be made compulsory "There is no need to have so many levels of knowledge test screenings. If FMGE is mandatory for foreign medical graduates then there should be no need for them to qualify NEET exam to study abroad," says Radhika Madan, a MBBS final year student studying in a college in Russia.
According to the current scenario Students are hopeful that the judgment will be a positive one and that they will not have to waste more time.
The final hearing regarding the petition is expected to take place anytime soon.
If the hearing goes in favour of the petitioner, MBBS aspirants who did not clear NEET this year can hope to enrol in overseas MBBS colleges without any constraints.

So let’s hope for the best, for more details keep in touch with our experts at

No-deal Brexit: study warns of severe short-term impact on UK

Date: 2nd Sept 2018
Source: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/sep/02/no-deal-brexit-study-warns-of-severe-short-term-impact-on-uk

Recently we posted an article about changes happening in UK and how it will affect the International students. Brexit was repeated in the article numerous times and many of the candidate seem unaware and a bit confused about what brexit is actually. So inlink to this article we will explain you that point more clearly so that you can understand it much better and make your own opinions instead of just listening to unreliable resources.
Britain’s exit from European Union (EU) = Brexit
First of all we need to understand what is Britain?
Britain or Great Britain is made up of 3 countries i.e. England , Scotland and Wales. What is an EU? An economic and political partnership among 28 European countries. They have ‘single market’ which allows goods and people to move around freely within EU countries. Any product produced from any EU country can be sold in any other EU countries without any hassle, without any tariff or with standardized tariff.
Norway and Switzerland are not part of EU. But they are part of European Trade Area from last 20 years this issue is going on. Many political game has played. Government has done referendum also to ask the people whether they want Britain to be the part of EU or they want to separate from EU.
Why Britain wants to separate from EU?
Britain has to pay very high membership fees in EU, and they are not getting good return.
Britain can do much better than part of EU.There are restrictions in many things from EU because of that Britain is not progressing well as it could have. The Brexit secretary, Dominic Raab, has said he believes 80% of the work on completing an exit deal with the EU27 is already done, as negotiations enter their final phase.
The short-term impact of a no-deal Brexit on Britain’s economy would be “chaotic and severe”, jeopardising jobs and disrupting trade links, warn experts from the thinktank UK in a Changing Europe. So there is protest going on in UK by universities to change visa laws for international student which will allow them to work after degree in UK. If you want more details on admission procedure and study abroad in UK, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND visit http://gkworks.in/ .

Date: 30th Aug 2018
Source: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bhopal/mbbs-student-duped-of-rs-4-lakh-for-pg-admission/articleshow/65602176.cms

We constantly keep on posting some great news related to study abroad and how things are slowly turning into favour of students wanting to get into international education, but still we also keep check on the post which might save someone’s life earnings. At http://gkworks.in/ we genuinely care about people and make sure that they get the best out of their investment. But still there are so many cases where we see parents being robbed by luring them into traps of getting  admission through third party. Recently A neurosurgeon was duped by six fraudsters of Rs 4 lakh in lieu of getting his daughter PG admission in a private medical college in Mumbai. The accused, posing as employees of a medical college, took money from the victims on pretext of registration fees.

According to police, the victim, Nikita Tiwari, 27, a resident of Shakti Nagar in Govindpura, completed her MBBS. She took a competitive exam and qualified for postgraduation. Her father Yogesh Tiwari is a neurosurgeon. As per police, Nikita received three phone calls from three persons, who introduced themselves as employees of the medical college, promising her an admission.

Ahmednagar police already arrested five members of the gang on a complaint filed by another Gwaliorbased medical aspirant, who was duped in similar manner. On April 24, the victim along with her father went to the medical college, where they met the accused. The accused posed as staff of the administrative section and even furnished ID cards of the college, winning the confidence of the man and his daughter The accused took Rs 4 lakh in the name of registration and donation.

This incident shades light on how much important it is to rely on a source which can be trusted, this would be 4-5 incident that we posted but there seems no end to this, we request parents to please check the credentials properly before considering any kind of offer, that is why at GKWorks we make sure to research our stuff thoroughly as that will be responsible for decision that parents make before sending their wards abroad, take care.

Great news for people who are looking for getting into some great university in New Zealand. Right now you all are aware that India is one of the youngest country in the world followed by China, which means universities all over the world are making huge efforts to make you guys feel at home.
At http://gkworks.in/ we call it the golden era for Asia, countries in Eurasia are amongst those who are making the policies more and more in favour of Asian students. New Zealand is ahead in the game of making international crowd feel at home. The major share of this success is the way in which they have convinced the New Zealand students how important these international students are for their growth in Asia. When you study abroad you make friends for life time, If students from New Zealand are more supportive and help international student get comfortable, there are possibilities of forming relation which will go beyond just acquaintances to deep friendship which will help New Zealanders opportunities in future to expand their horizon.
A few weeks ago, the Government released a new international education strategy via Education New Zealand, with a focus on international education's contributions to a "thriving and globally connected New Zealand".
This strategy – which guides New Zealand policy towards international students through to 2030 – has flown under the radar. It attracted a smidgen of media coverage here in New Zealand, but arguably not as much as it deserved, considering international education is one of our biggest export earners.
The strategy includes some pretty impressive numbers. In 2017, international education contributed $4.4 billion to the New Zealand economy, saw 125,392 international students get a Kiwi-style learning experience, and supported 33,000 jobs.
Students from Asia – particularly India and China but also Korea, Japan and increasingly Southeast Asia – make up around two-thirds of international students in New Zealand. Looking at these amazing reforms our experts at http://gkworks.in/ are sure that your decision to choose New Zealand as your study abroad destination is perfect, just go to the link mentioned and make your dream happen with help of GKworks!
