 Difference between B.E. and B.Tech - All you need to know

 Research conducted by the National Council of Advanced Economic Research has shown that Engineering is the most pursued undergraduate course pursued in India. There are 2 main types of engineering namely B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) and B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). Aspirants of this field always face confusion between these 2 types. Many doubts regarding the difference in these courses can be solved in the following section. Both these courses are of the same value but the way one pursues them is also of significance.

 

 These courses differ in only a few details. B.E. has a more theoretical approach while B. Tech has a more practical approach. Theoretical concepts are taken into the study in the field of B.E. Whereas the field of B.Tech is more interested in knowing about the working mechanisms of these concepts. Most of the colleges offer similar courses in these fields. It is very important to get to know about the course offered by a college. 

 

B.E. (Bachelor in Engineering)

It is an undergraduate course. After completing 12th std. one can apply for this course. Students must attempt an entrance exam whether it is of state-level or national level. Every college gives admissions based on these exams. Bachelor of Engineering(B.E.) focuses on imparting theoretical knowledge to the students by which new technological inventions can be done. These courses can be classified as knowledge-oriented courses. The internships and industrial visits are of immense importance.

 

B.Tech. (Bachelor in Technology)

B.Tech is an undergraduate course. For this course, it is essential to complete std. 12th. Many state-level or national-level entrance exams are created to gain admission in this course. Various colleges and universities accept the results of these exams for admissions. The focus of this course is to impart practical knowledge of any concepts. So that these concepts can be used to improve any technology. These courses can be classified as a skill-oriented courses. A student needs to complete an internship and industrial visits.
