JEE Main 2022 results out?

 JEE Main 2022 results out?

Today, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the JEE Main 2022 session 1 results. From June 23 to June 29, more than 500 centres around the country hosted the computer-based online JEE Main Session 1 exam and 10 lakh students registered to take them.

The eligible candidates will have the opportunity to apply to numerous NITs and IITs around the nation based on the outcome. Only those who place in the top 2.5 lakh in the All-India rankings, though, will be permitted to take the JEE Advanced 2022. The cut-off for the general category in the 2020 JEE Mains was 90 percentile; in the following year, it was 87 %. The cut-off score for the 2022 JEE Mains examination could range from 89 to 91 percentile, say experts.

How are the JEE Main Exam scores determined?

The contenders will be narrowed down based on their percentile score and rank. The NTA states that the JEE Mains normalisation criteria are used to first determine the raw score and then convert it to a percentile. In order to prevent ties or draws amongst the candidates, the percentile is normally estimated up to 7 decimal places.

The number of candidates who received a score equal to or lower than the student is multiplied by 100 to determine the percentile, which is then divided by the total number of candidates that participated in the session. From July 21 to July 30, 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the JEE Main Session 2 exam.
