How to do MBBS from Nepal

How to do MBBS from Nepal

If you are interested in pursuing an MBBS degree from Nepal, you can follow these steps: Research and choose a medical college in Nepal that is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and approved by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC). You can find the list of approved medical colleges on the NMC website. Check the eligibility criteria of the medical college and the admission process. Most colleges require you to have completed 10+2 with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects, and have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate. Obtain the application form from the college or its official website, and fill it in with the required details. Submit the form along with the necessary documents, such as academic transcripts, passport-size photographs, and a copy of your passport. The college may conduct an entrance exam, and the selection is usually based on the score obtained in the entrance exam and your academic performance. Once you are selected, you will have to complete the necessary formalities, such as paying the fees, submitting the required documents, and obtaining a student visa. Once you start your MBBS program, you will have to complete the course, which usually takes five and a half years, including one year of internship. After completing your MBBS program, you will have to appear for the MCI screening test, also known as the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), to be eligible to practice medicine in India. It is advisable to check the latest guidelines and requirements as they may change from time to time.
