The registration for (CAT) Common Admission Test exam 2022 has already started and the last date to apply for the same is 14th September. The exam gives an opportunity to take admission into the postgraduate management program which is offered by the renowned Institute like  Indian Institutes of Management and many more institutes and these institutes select candidates for the fellow program in Management.

The duration for the CAT exam is of total 3 hours and the exam will be held on the 27th November 2022.

The Graduate Management Admission Council will be conducting the NMIMS NMAT exam 2022 through online Computer Based Test mode very soon. 

The Students appearing for the NMAT must be aware of the paper pattern and prepare themselves accordingly.

The NMAT exam has total of three sections:

  • Language Skills

  • Quantitative Skills

  • Logical Reasoning

Few must follow tips for the students preparing for the NMAT exam:

  • Students must be mentally prepared and should analyze the paper pattern thoroughly so that they have the ability to decide which questions should be attempted first and which should be attempted last. Also, students must be aware of marking pattern of exam, how many marks awarded for the correct answers and the negative marking for wrong attempt, this is important so that students do not get confused while attempting the paper.

  • While preparing for the NMAT exam students must attempt mock test on daily basis to find out the areas where they are lacking and also learn about the time management during the exam, many students know all the answers but due to their low speed of attempting the paper and no time management the students are not able to finish paper on time. Mock test help students in growing all these qualities.

  • For preparation of NMAT exam there are various types of books available but some books are really not even worth buying and of students use these books they are unknowingly misguided so it is important to buy and refer only those books which are syllabus oriented and suggested by the previous year toppers.

  • Students who appear for the NMAT exam must focus on the syllabus and should deep dive into the syllabus. In Quantitative skills all the formulas should be memorized properly, In Language skills the vocabulary and grammar must be practiced on daily basis.

  • The third section is Logical Reasoning, students should cover all types of reasoning problems asked in previous years and also other reasoning types like critical reasoning, analogies, visual reasoning, puzzles, detective logic, etc. These types of topics should never be left or missed.

IIM, Bangalore will be conducting the CAT 2022 exam on 27th November for which registration has started. The candidates who are eligible as well interested can submit their application at the official website iimcat.ac.in within 14th of September. CAT is the access through which one can pursue MBA at IIMs or one of the topmost B-schools across India. 

The first step about preparation is to study about the exam. This exam does not possess a specific syllabus. It is simply the exam of one’s Quantitative Aptitude, Logic Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Data Interpretation knowledge. One should go though the previous year question paper of CAT.

Some of the basic tips for CAT 2022 preparation are as follows:

  1. One should check the exam pattern and do analysis of the previous year questions.

  2. One should focus on basic as well as fundamental topics of every subject.

  3. A particular time should be divided for each and every module. One should focus on arithmetic, algebra and geometry.

  4. Vedic math should be done for fast calculation.

  5. One should prepare for the context based vocabulary.

  3. The time should be increased to 3 hours after a month.

  4. Regularly one should read for 30 minutes.

Although the coaching for CAT exam is helpful, candidates can also crack this exam by not taking help from coaching centres but by self preparation.

  1. One should practice at least 2 full papers of CAT mock test.

  2. One should take sectional exams for VARC.

  3. One can watch YouTube channels like IQuanta, Verbal mentor for VARC and Elites grid for LRDI.

  4. Practice different types of DI-LR sets for each and every day.

  5. One should read the editorials of newspapers like Hindu, Indian Express and more.

  6. One should prepare his or her own strategy and find out his or her weak as well as strong points.


The pattern of CAT exam had been changed in 2021. Moreover, for the CAT 2022, in the eligibility criteria, the option for pass/ promotion has been cancelled. Those who are registering for CAT 2022, they should check the criteria for eligibility.

 IGNOU: Restructures MBA programme

All the modification of the programme was done with the help of top academicians from premium institutions of management. 

The IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) has restructured the MBA (Master of Business Administration) programmes to meet the requirements of industry as well as employment market. This modification was done with the help of top academicians according to AICTE model curriculum.

The curriculum is formed in such a manner that it will be helpful to students who are fresh graduates to get opportunities in employment. Moreover, the professionals who are working will get the advantage of value addition on the basis of knowledge as well as application for the same case.
