Narotam Sekhsaria scholarship programme

The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation offers merit-based loans for postgraduate studies. The scholarships are offered at institutions in India and abroad, in the fields of science, humanities, law, architecture and management.

Financial support: The foundation gives interest-free loan scholarships to Indian students for an amount up to Rs 10 lakh, depending on the foundation's assessment. Students need to start repaying the loan a year after they complete the course.

Eligibility: Graduates from a recognised Indian university with a good academic record as well as students in their final year can apply. The scholarship is offered to Indian nationals residing in India. Applicants must be below 30, as of Jan 31, 2011.

Procedure: A completed application form along with an application fee of Rs 300 must be submitted. This should be accompanied by copies of all relevant marksheets and degree certificates, an application letter or the offer letter from the University for the postgraduate programme, an attested copy of the student's passport and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
