ROLE OF EDUCATION IN THE FILM INDUSTRY
The film industry is one of the most looked upon industries in the world. Although many believe that education is not an important factor in the film industry, it is surprising to know that many stars have pursued MBA degrees to have a better hold on their career.
In Karnataka, there are many people from the media industry, who have made a successful transition from the IT sector to the media. The professionalism in a star comes from getting the right skills through education. People also believe that getting a degree will help in making the right choices regarding finance and other monetary issues.
When a producer looks for shoot locations, story line, etc, his mind will work properly only if he has a sense of professionalism in what he does. It is also a fact that IIMs have been prominent in inviting the film industry to pursue their degrees for the betterment of the future.
The OTT platforms have also been a source of great connection with the public and the stars. It also paved way for better management options which have opened the doors to recruit online managers. However, it involves a lot of risks as the management of these large platforms cannot be messed up.
With India setting up new trends in the film industry, it is however an unanswered question to see what is coming in the future for the film industry as well as the education sector.
