The School of Indian Languages would have centers where literature, history, and culture would be taught for various states.

The school will aid in deepening one's understanding of several Indian languages. The institution already provides a number of  language classes. It now intends to add more research, diploma courses, and postgraduate studies.

 

To promote the nation's cultural variety, Jawaharlal Nehru University will launch a new School of Indian Languages where courses in several dialects will be provided starting in the following academic year.

 

Vice Chancellor Santishree D. Pandit announced during a news conference on Monday that the School of Indian Languages would have centers for several states where culture, literature, and history would be taught.  According to Pandit, other states have expressed a desire in this matter, and Tamil Nadu has already contributed Rs 10 crore for its centre.

 

"JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) is opening a new School of Indian Languages, for which several state governments are providing the institution with a fund to create up seats. They will develop into unique hubs for that state's language, culture, literature, and history.

 

"Tamil Nadu has so far contributed 10 crore rupees. Odisha, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Assam are four additional states that will each contribute Rs 10 crore. We'll have a budget of 50 crore rupees "said Pandit. Recent funding for the Centre for Tamil Studies came from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, amounting to roughly Rs 10 crore. It was getting close to other states in this sense, the vice chancellor claimed.

 

"Several centers will be constructed under this. Along with literature, culture and history will also be explored. JNU has a strong brand and is well-known.   "We are the top university in India. These centers will offer Master's programs, certificate courses, "Vice Chancellor's statement.

 

Indian Languages Week and Tamil Heritage Week both got underway at JNU on Monday.

According to her, the purpose of the ceremony is to carry out PM Narendra Modi's vision and objective to celebrate the heritage and history of Indian languages throughout the nation.

 

Pandit continued, "JNU is perceiving Indian languages week, to foster language cohesion and a climate for studying Indian languages aside from having mastered one's mother tongue. JNU is among the foremost higher education institutions operating to uphold the history, culture, and heritage of India's past.
