Medical Aspirants Move Court Against Allocation of NRI Seats

We cannot say that we haven’t predicted this would happen, there is no limit to how much we need to spend for a MBBS seat in India, instead we can get the same seat at half value abroad that too with world class equipment and syllabus. Four medical aspirants have moved the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench, claiming that they never opted for the NRI seats that were allotted to them in Maharashtra’s NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences. The students have told the court that the fee charged for the NRI seats is too high for them to bear.
The students found themselves in a puzzling situation when they were granted admission under the NRI quota in a medical college in Maharashtra.
The students filed the petition before the court contending that the State Common Entrance Test Cell allotted them MBBS admission under the NRI quota without informing them even though they never sought those seats.

In their petition, the girls said that the fee for a medical seat for a Non-Resident Indian in the college is Rs 34 lakh per year irrespective of their category. On the other hand, the fee for a seat under the OBC category is Rs 19,000 in a government college and Rs 4.84 lakh in semi-government colleges. The fee for students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category is Rs 19,000 in all medical colleges. NRI seats are reserved to generate more revenue for medical colleges but due to high tuition fee, many of these seats remain vacant and are then converted into general category seats. Reports of NRI seats being sold to ineligible candidates have also surfaced from time to time.
Admissions through NRI quotas are not limited to medical colleges only. Managements of engineering colleges were recently permitted by the Kerala government to transfer their vacant seats to the NRI quota.
Instead of doing so much for a degree in India its always better to opt for a MBBS abroad and we are here for that, at http://gkworks.in/ we help you with getting MBBS seat abroad where you are the master of your destiny and you don’t need to wait for some government official and wait for their decision for gaining a single seat spending amount unimaginable for a middle class family.

Centac to hold MBBS mop up counselling for NRI candidates on August 17

A very happy independence day to you all. We will be celebrating our 72nd Independence day today. After so many years of consultation to some brilliant student who were equally talented but couldn’t afford the fee for an MBBS seat in their own country, such news makes us think twice about the education system and the way quota system makes student life miserable, which is one more reason why we advise our student and parents to study abroad as the system in India is becoming unbearable with enormous fee structure and quota system.
The Centralised Admission Committee (Centac) will hold a mop up counselling for 16 MBBS seats in Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute under the non-resident Indian (NRI)/NRI-sponsored candidate. Noww these seats if not allotted will be wasted or sold to someone who is willing to pay the highest pirice.
Look at this number of vacant seat, as many as 107 Telugu and Christian minority MBBS seats are vacant in two private medical colleges after the second round of counselling on Monday. There are 70 Telugu minority MBBS seats vacant in SVMC and 37 Christian minority MBBS seats vacant in Pims. Just five seats were filled in SVMC as against the total seats of 75 and 13 seats in Pims as against the total 50 seats under minority quota.
And to make it worst there are cases like these where the committee has withheld allotment of two seats in IGMCRI under Yanam general following a court’s order. The committee will decide on the allotment based on the outcome of a case pending before the Madras high court. Where do the common people fit in! Looking at these situations we advise without wasting any time visit http://gkworks.in/ secure you dream use them to contribute to society by fulfilling your study abroad dreams first.

Stay orders on counselling become cause of worry for medical aspirants

You people are aware of situation going on for MBBS admissions. The process has already started few got their seats but the second round is still taking a hit due to numerous issues which display the unorganised decision making and confusion in the seat placement committee itself. As the last date for completion of admission of MBBS and BDS to medical colleges soon approaches, the rally of stay orders on the counselling process has become a great cause of worry to the aspirants. It is obvious that August 31 is the last date for completion of admissions, the university administration is still struggling to move ahead with the second and final counselling as petitions have been filed against implementation of GO 550 while allocating seats to reserved candidate. It’s just chaos all over and many have even got loans at hand but don’t have a guaranty of fix admission even after such a long wait and struggle.

SFI state secretary Ramesh called it a shoddy problem interpretation of reservation system by the university and said, “This is the first time when 15% of the seats in government colleges are allocated to national pool, where BC and OC women were not given representation as per the standard roster system. When it came to allotment of reservations in the 85% state quota, the university should have considered this discrepancy and compensated the seats lost, for BC category.”

The actual fact is university’s responsibility is to see that the reservations are allocated in such a way that 50% of the seats are filled under open category, and reservations are applied as per GO 550, in the other 50%, while on the other hand, the state government is heading to file a petition against high court order given on August 5, to proceed with second counselling without considering para 5(2) of GO 550.

It’s very painful to watch student suffer only to get average medical education paying lakhs of rupees, when they can in fact get world class education abroad with less expenses than in India, for more details visit http://gkworks.in/mbbs-admissions/

Moving On from ‘Brain Drain’, Colleges Are Now Leveraging the Success of The Indian Diaspora

We have been confronting this brain drain issue since last decade. It’s amusing how things have taken a different turn, colleges who would criticize their student for applying to universities abroad are now praising the same student and leveraging their success to boost their own quality of education. According our opinion, it’s about opportunity. Brain drain’ was a major rallying cry in the 1970s and 80s it appeared as if India and many other countries were investing in training highly skilled professionals so that the USA could benefit from their talent which turned out to be a complete lie.
There were two aspects of the brain drain, linked with patriotism and public finances. The move abroad was seen by the elite, who didn’t move as an abdication of responsibility, as a step towards undertaking the ‘big reforms’ that India required and young Gandhi had talked about.
For those who did move, the prospect of working in the best laboratories of the world and living in large homes, or enjoying a vastly improved standard of living overturned any patriotic sentiment that they may have harboured. This turn of events occurred due to the tremendous success of highly skilled Indian emigrants and also because their continued links with India through economic and social remittances limited the negative fallouts of the brain drain. Economic remittances from these emigrants filled the foreign exchange offers and grew to comprise an amount representing nearly 2 per cent of India’s GDP. The rapid growth of India’s IT and health sector enterprises was facilitated by close contacts with the latest developments occurring in the rich world via the high-skilled Indian diaspora.
In fact, it turns out those people who went there were more open to help their country with a greater impact and made name of India for being a country of talented gems thus increasing our values in world economy. So be proud for choosing education abroad because you will be becoming a global workforce. For study abroad details and coaching visit http://gkworks.in/ .

Are Australian universities planning to enrol more international students?

Australia is booming with international students. It’s a growth that has become more controversial in recent years. While stakeholders hail the benefits they receive from a more diverse student body, other segments of society have condemned it for letting foreign forces interfere with academic freedom and for the disproportionate number of students from a select few countries
ANU’s decision presents another downside: Schmidt’s comments appear to suggest that a large international student population will impair university qualityThe University of Queensland and the University of Melbourne have no plans to cap their international enrolments at current levels. UQ Deputy Vice-Chancellor for External Engagement, Rongyu Li, said in a statement: “There is no plan to cap international student numbers at current levels, but we are striving for greater diversification of source countries, discipline offerings and associated new academic offerings.
A spokesperson for the University of Melbourne said “demand from international students for the University of Melbourne’s world-class degrees remains high, as it has been in recent years”.“The University anticipates that the present strong demand from international students will continue in the future”.
This survey follows a report last week which found that Australia has most likely surpassed the UK as the second favourite study destination for international students. International higher education student commencements grew from 187,000 in 2013 to 319,000 in 2018.

MBBS’ FEE HIKED BY 300%

Dated:  Sunday, 12 August 2018

We have been aware of the process going on for MBBS admission, the delays and those enormous fee hikes. The fee hike went almost to 1 Crore for a single MBBS seat. This was terrifying for many parents. It seemed for some time that government was taking action by compelling all colleges to follow one single fee structure. But still it seems to have no effect looking at this recent case. The parents of the students of Swami Ram Himalayan University have alleged that the university, violating all norms, has hiked the fees of MBBS course by 300 percent. They informed that university has hiked the fees of State quota MBBS students from ` 4 Lakh to `10 Lakh and All India quota from `5 lakh to `15 Lakh per year.
The patron of the Private Medical University Parents association, Ravindra Jugran said that Supreme Court (SC) ruling clearly states that the fee should be determined by a ‘Fee regulatory committee’ but since the Uttarakhand High Court has cancelled appointment of President of Committee, it is defunct in the State. He said that taking advantage of the situation, the University has steeply hiked the fees claiming that permission for it has been granted by ‘Fee Appellate Authority’. Jugran said earlier too, the private medical colleges of the State had hiked the fees but following the protest by students the State Government ordered its reversal.
Looking at such cases admission for MBBS seems like almost impossible for a middle class family. Due to such situation in India, we at http://gkworks.in/ recommend study abroad to many students, and finding that MBBS abroad is much cheaper than in India plus the benefit of exposure to the international environment are meant to boost the career of each and every student many parents happily invest in sending their ward to numerous countries with amazing advanced techniques to teach, for more details visit http://gkworks.in/mbbs-admissions/.

MCI WILL LAUNCH NEW MBBS SYLLABUS NEXT MONTH; NEW SYLLABUS TO BE EFFECTIVE FROM 2019 SESSION

Dated: 9th August 2018

Now here’s some news for the applicants who are going to apply for MBBS in upcoming years. There have been many complications in the admission process already and now parallel to that The Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to change the syllabus of bachelor’s degree programme in medicine which will come into effect from the 2019 session onwards. Dr. Reena Nayar, secretary of MCI has confirmed that the new syllabus is ready and will be available next month. The new syllabus will be published next month. The syllabus is now ready and final proofreading is in progress. By September the brand new syllabus for the upcoming doctors of the nation will be made available.
It is said that the new syllabus will focus on skill-based and hands-on training much similar to what you will find in education abroad at much lesser cost.  The old syllabus was mostly theory, especially on anatomy, pathology, and physiology. The new syllabus tends to be focused on guidelines issued by the World Federation for Medical Education. The new syllabus will have more emphasis on skills and will have competency-based tests. Thus, the new syllabus is seeming to be more relevant with the current scenarios of the medical world. The MBBS aspirants of the nation who are looking forward to taking admission in MMBS courses must be ready to face a brand new curriculum. However, all these changes seem to be promising and are towards the welfare of the candidates there are some uncertainty which make study abroad a better option. There is still confusion about effect of ne syllabus on NEET study syllabus, keep tuned for other updates and candidates interested in study abroad visit http://gkworks.in/
