MBBS’ FEE HIKED BY 300%

Dated:  Sunday, 12 August 2018

We have been aware of the process going on for MBBS admission, the delays and those enormous fee hikes. The fee hike went almost to 1 Crore for a single MBBS seat. This was terrifying for many parents. It seemed for some time that government was taking action by compelling all colleges to follow one single fee structure. But still it seems to have no effect looking at this recent case. The parents of the students of Swami Ram Himalayan University have alleged that the university, violating all norms, has hiked the fees of MBBS course by 300 percent. They informed that university has hiked the fees of State quota MBBS students from ` 4 Lakh to `10 Lakh and All India quota from `5 lakh to `15 Lakh per year.
The patron of the Private Medical University Parents association, Ravindra Jugran said that Supreme Court (SC) ruling clearly states that the fee should be determined by a ‘Fee regulatory committee’ but since the Uttarakhand High Court has cancelled appointment of President of Committee, it is defunct in the State. He said that taking advantage of the situation, the University has steeply hiked the fees claiming that permission for it has been granted by ‘Fee Appellate Authority’. Jugran said earlier too, the private medical colleges of the State had hiked the fees but following the protest by students the State Government ordered its reversal.
Looking at such cases admission for MBBS seems like almost impossible for a middle class family. Due to such situation in India, we at http://gkworks.in/ recommend study abroad to many students, and finding that MBBS abroad is much cheaper than in India plus the benefit of exposure to the international environment are meant to boost the career of each and every student many parents happily invest in sending their ward to numerous countries with amazing advanced techniques to teach, for more details visit http://gkworks.in/mbbs-admissions/.
