Description

America College Test (ACT), which is shortened as ACT. ACT can be defined as an assessment test to evaluate a student's preparation for college. ACT measures the overall capability and potential of a student to take on the bachelor level study program or undergraduate programs in America. The tests cover four skill sections: English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. ACT is similar to the SAT.

All students who want to look for admission in different Colleges in the United States and Canada are compulsory to appear in the ACT Assessment test. These tests are conducted five times during a year: October, December, February, April, and June.

The ACT comprises of cycle of assessment test:

• Under Diagnostic test section, the student can indicate the particular field of further study.
• Under Review test Section, the applicant can determine the area of concentration in particular field to save the time and energy.
• Under Evaluation test Section, the candidate can re-evaluate themselves and find out more chance to practice extra and to determine.

The ACT Assessment examination is conducted on four subjects:
• English
• Mathematics
• Reading
• Science Reasoning

Through English test one can study students understanding of the basics of written English. Time for answering the question is about ½ minute per question. The test covers basic grammar and usage of English language. The test contains five prose passages all along with fifteen multiple-choice questions. Total 75 questions are required to be answered in short spam of 45 minutes.

Mathematics test helps in assessing the understanding of students in different areas of study like pre-algebra, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra; coordinate geometry, etc. The test contains sixty questions that are to be answered in 60 minutes.

Reading section is mainly used to measure the ability of the students to understand academic reading matter. Reading test cover the areas like social studies, prose fiction, humanities, and natural science. The test comprises of forty questions are to be answered in 35 minutes.

The science-reasoning test covers biology, chemistry, physical science, and earth and space science. There will be on average one passage covering each of the four content areas, and each passage will contain ten questions. Chances to get admission to desirous college is subject of presentation and scores obtained in the test help to decide the college.

Eligibility Criteria for ACT:

All candidates who want to take admission in different colleges of United States and Canada throughout year are required to go through ACT Assessment test.
