IIM-A PGPX: Placements in progress, next batch walks in

Even as some of the experienced students of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)'s one year Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX 2009-10) course are awaiting jobs, the premier management institute launched its fifth batch for the same course today with 86 students.
The average international work experience of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)'s fifth batch of one year Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX 2010-11) is of above four years as compared to above seven years in the PGPX 2009-10 batch.
The batch is from various industries such as financial services, telecom, IT, manufacturing, healthcare and public sector with an average GMAT score of 712, average age of around 34 years and average total work experience of 10 years, a release from the institute said.
As of March 27, 11 PGPX 2009-10 students were yet to be placed and seeking placements. Saral Mukherjee, chairperson, placements, said, "The placements for the PGPX 2009-10 batch is on. Although we have moved closer, we are yet to reach the zero figure."
In 2009, 80 students had joined the PGPX-IV batch.
The batch had an average age of 34 years, average GMAT of 720, an average total work experience of 10 years.
