Introduction

The genesis of this idea dates back to the year 1984, a meeting of leading academicians, chaired by Bharath Ratna C Subramaniam.
This vision was realized with the establishment of The Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) and since then it has understood the requirements of the industry and nurtured its students to be responsible corporate citizens and the leaders of tomorrow.

Eligibility
Who is eligible?
Bachelor’s or Post Graduate Degree or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.
Final Year Degree students may also apply, subject to completion of the degree requirements with minimum 50% marks.
CAT/XAT Scores are used for short listing candidates who apply for admission to BIM.
All applicants to BIM should take either CAT OR XAT test.

Introduction
Birla Institute of Management Technology was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture. The Institute is supported by B.K. Birla group of companies. Dr. (Smt) Sarala Birla, Chairperson of Birla Academy and Syt. B.K.Birla, chairperson of B.K. Birla Group of companies are the founders of the business school. It has progressed from a moderate start to the 12th rank in INDIA. The Board of Governors is comprised of eminent people from industry, headed by Sri R N Jaju, President, ECE Industries.
BIMTECH is mini India in its formation every year. It has students coming almost from all the states of India, and also from few foreign countries. It is mix of nationalities, cultural backgrounds, academic and professional experiences, which makes BIMTECH one of the most exciting and enriching business schools in the country.
Programs
PGDBM is the oldest program being offered by the Centre of Business Management (CBM). Approved by the All India council for Technical Education (AICTE),
MHRD, the program has an intake of 120 students.

Selection procedure
Applicants to all the programs of the institute are screened through a three-tier process.
1. Written test (CAT/MAT)
2. Group discussion
3. Personal interview

1. The application form for admission to the PGDBM programme along with the prospectus will be available from the office and for other programmes the forms would be available. Form can also be secured by sending demand draft of Rs. 1150/- drawn in favor of Birla Institute of Management Technology payable at Greater Noida. The form can be downloaded from www.bimtech.ac.in, the filled up form should be sent along with a demand draft of Rs. 1150/-.
