Introduction

Realizing the opportunities and needs of the new economy, Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM) was established in the year 1996.We are the pioneers in the field of Telecom Management education in the country and Asia. We focus on three basic components Management, Telecom and Information Technology to develop world class Telecom Business Leaders who can manage technology efficiently.

Ever since its perception, SITM has achieved 100% Placement, which bears testimony to its position in the industry. Our alumni have been making their mark in the industry as Technical and Business Consultants, Network Implementers, Project Leaders and Business Development Executives.

Programs

SITM offers a two year full time (autonomous) Post Graduate Diploma in Telecom Management (PGDTM) with dual specialization in Marketing & Finance and Systems & Finance.

Eligibility

The minimum requirement for admission is a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination. Final year students are also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

In order to qualify for the selection process of SITM the candidate is required to:

1 st Phase:
Appear in Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), For more details, refer to the web site http://www.snaptest.org

2 nd phase:
After the SNAP test result is declared, candidates who have applied for SITM will be short listed and called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview, which will be held in Pune. The GD & PI will also include an extempore talk.


Placements

Right from the first batch (1996-98) SITM could achieve 100 percent Placements. Students are employed through On Campus Recruitment Programme facilitated by the Institute. The companies participating in the process are from Telecom Service Providers such as Basic Services, Mobile Services, V SAT, ISP, System Integrators and Consulting firms.
