The Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore (IHM-B)
has announced the date for its joint entrance exam (JEE) to be April
26, 2014. IHM-B is jointly owned and established institution by the
Union as well as the State governments. The academic session for the
hotel management course would commence on July 28, 2014.
IHM-B has invited applications from interested candidates for its three-year degree course in hospitality and hotel administration. The institution through this entrance exam would admit students to fill a total of 230 seats.
Candidates who want to apply for admission for this hotel management course need to have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a subject.
V.R. Venkatadri, Principal of IHM-B revealed that JEE 2014 would enroll students into 21 IHMs of the Central Government and 17 IHMs of the State Government. Apart from these, students will also be given a chance to gain admission into 19 private IHMS and a total of six food craft institutes which are affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism).
