Admission process - IIM Lucknow

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) was established in 1984 by the Government of India as a national-level school of excellence in management studies. Its mission is to be a global, socially conscious and integrated school of management. The institute undertakes a diverse range of academic activities and interventions aimed at creation, dissemination and application of management knowledge as well as practices. There are around 434 seats available this year for various programs including Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), Post Graduate Program in Agribusiness Management (PGP ABM), etc.
IIM Lucknow assigns weightage to various parameters for admission such as the Common Admission Test (CAT) score, diversity factors, previous academic records, job experience, etc. to shortlist candidates.
IIM Lucknow admission criteria and selection process (2014-16) –
Step 1: Generation of merit list for Group Discussion-Personal Interview (GD-PI) for PGP program, meeting the (Government of India) norms on reservation
The first short-list will be drawn on the basis of candidates scoring minimum section-wise as well as aggregate percentile scores in CAT. Subsequent processing will be made for candidates from the first list only. Therefore, the CAT score is the sole criterion to arrive at the first short-list.
