Placements

MICA has gone a long way since its establishment in 1991. As in the past, this year also all the graduating students were placed by the first few days of the placement week. Placements 2005 reaffirmed MICA's position among the top Communications Management Institutes of the world. The institute lived up to its reputation of finishing its final placements in record time – this time the whole second year graduating batch was placed by end of placements week. The four academic concentration areas (Brand Management, Media Management, Marketing Research and Account Planning) continued to attract esteemed employers.

MICANs are finding greater and better opportunities in a variety of sectors. The fact that MICA is rated the leader in the communications management education and integrated marketing industry, has a bearing on the same, resulting in a high demand for MICANs. The increase in demand is manifested by the increased compensation offered.

This year the avg. salary has gone up by 28% over previous year, infact the traditional companies have also offered a package which was on an average 30% more than their usual criteria consideration. The campus placements had 47 companies (almost 62% more than the previous year) offering 117 jobs for 68 graduating students, thus providing ample choice in deciding one's professional career. MICA's equity is highlighted by the fact that this year MICANs forayed into many new sectors like Consultancy (E&Y), Broadcasting channels (STAR TV), Financial services (ICICI), Telecom (HUTCH & TATA-TELE), Data analytics (GE Analytics), FMCG sector (CavinCare) to name a few.
