AMU professor conferred with Academy of Science fellowship
Aligarh: Dr. G.G. Hammad Ahmad Shadab from the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been conferred with the Fellowship of Academy of Science for Animal Welfare in recognition of his outstanding contribution for advancement of Science and Welfare.
Dr. Shadab is a Senior Lecturer in the Section of Genetics of the Department of Zoology at AMU. He is also an elected Member of the Academic Council, AMU and nominated Member of the Academic Council, University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya.
He has done research on "Cytogenetic and clinical studies of certain steroids on human chromosomes" and has significantly contributed to the field of Human Genetics and Genetic Toxicology.
Dr. Shadab has a teaching experience spanning more than a decade and has published more than 15 papers in the areas of environmental and genetic toxicology in reputed national and international journals. He has attended several National and International conferences, workshops and hands-on-trainings in the field of genetics and molecular biology and presented many papers.
Along with being a lifetime member of several national and international societies, he also has a text book of Industrial Zoology to his credit which is ready for publication. He was awarded the Self-Realization Fellowship in 2001 and was appointed Research Assistant in 2002 by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
In 2005, he was also awarded the Young Scientist Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
