XIMB set to open new campus

XIMB set to open new campus

Xavier Institute of Management-Bhubaneswar (XIMB), one of the premier B-schools in the country is giving shape to its expansion plans which were earlier marred by the delay in availability of land.
XIMB established in 1987, aimed to have its second campus in the state by 2012. This would have marked as the silver jubilee of its inception but delay in finding land for the proposed second campus had pushed its expansion plan to the back foot. However, XIMB has now plans of setting up two new campuses in the state at Bolangir and Khurda by the end of 2012. According to the reports, the Orissa government has already alloted us 35 acres of land at Khurda and has agreed to provide 25 acres of land on the outskirts of Bolangir town.

The XIMB campus at Bolangir will exclusively focus on the Rural Management Programme and will have an intake of 120 students. The Bolangir campus will be a fully residential facility with a built-up area of 1.55 lakh sq ft. The Rural Management programme at our existing campus in Bhubaneswar will be phased off after the establishment of the new Bolangir campus. XIMB's campus at Khurda is coming close to the campus of Orissa Engineering College.
