ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies is a private college in Pitampura, New Delhi. The college is recognized by Bar Council of India and was established in the year 2000. It is in affiliation to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University approved by AICTE and Accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. This institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate education in the field of Law, Business, Media and Information Technology in 7 and 2 courses respectively.

ABOUT VSIT

Vivekanand School of Information Technology (VSIT) offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application. VSIT has introduced this program for large number of desirous aspirants to take up Computer Application as their career to secure a position in fast expanding and growing technological world.

 

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Bachelor’s in Computer Application (BCA) is 3 years (6 semesters) undergraduate programme which combines the rigorous of academic exposure to provide sufficient background to the undergraduate students so that they can work alongside Computer Science Engineers and professionals in the technological arena.

During the course the students cover various subjects such as core programming languages like JAVA and C++, data structure, networking and database.

The vision of this course is to not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also develop values of excellence, ethics and practical learning skills. It aims to develop holistic approach among the students by improving their technical skills and also their life skills.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A candidate eligible for admission to the 3-year BJMC undergraduate degree course must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2) with English and Mathematics as a core/elective/functional subject or any other equivalent examination.

The aggregate of best of four subjects including English and compulsory subject(s), if any will be taken as 50% aggregate marks in class 12^th.

 

ADMISSION PROCESS

·       The candidates must apply through GGSIPU CET for the admission to any of the courses offered by VIPS.

·       The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.

·       The candidates who qualify IPU CET are only eligible for the admission in the college.

 

VIPS RESERVATION

VIPS provides reservation to all eligible candidates based on the merit secured in IPU CET. Seats are reserved as per the norms set by the Government of India and are as follows:

·       Among the total number of seats, the 85% seats are reserved for the Delhi Region Candidates i.e., those who have passed their qualifying examination from any school/institute in Delhi NCR.

·       Other 15% seats are reserved for the Outside Delhi Region students i.e., those who have passed their qualifying examination from any school/institute outside Delhi.
