Mechanical Engineering includes principles of engineering mathematics and engineering physics. It is the study of combination of these principles along with material science subject. This knowledge is acquired in order to maintain the material structures. For the designing, analyses and manufacturing of these material structures, mechanical engineering is studied. These mechanical structures could be machines that produce power like combustion engines or electric generators. Also, the structures could be the machines that come to use inside a building like escalators or elevators.
Mechanical Engineering at Greater Noida Institute of Technology is available only at undergraduate level. Students pursuing this course will be awarded with the B. Tech degree. Only those students are eligible to pursue this course who had physics, mathematics and chemistry as main subjects in their 12th class. Also, they must have passed the exam with minimum 60% in each subject. Students have to give Jee Mains exam. This was the eligibility criteria, but to ensure the admission, students must have good percentage in 12th board. Also, admission depends upon the ranking in Jee Mains Exam.

These include several workshops to clear the basic engineering concepts of the students. Also, there are the latest machine shops.

• The course of mechanical engineering includes subjects which are picked up with high efficiency in order to produce highly qualified graduates. Like they got to study about heat transfers and thermodynamics. Also, they get to learn about computer aided design. They will be studying about mechanics, both solid and fluid mechanics.

Projects

• Electric Adventure Tour Bike: At present we are living in an E bike era. Electric bikes are comfortable and economic. Also, they produce less noise than the bikes which are powered by fuels. But these E bikes are suitable only for short travel, because of the battery life problem. This project overcome this problem by providing long distance travel. Almost double of normal E bikes because it has extra power (in form of battery) support. So, with the same amount, it offers extra facilities that is comfort with long distance travel. Further, it has backrest system for back support over long distance travel.
• Indoor Farming, Hydroponic Plant Grow Chamber 3 Layer: This is a futuristic project. This innovation reduces the need for vast lands to perform agricultural practices. By the use of Hydroponic systems, a three layer unit is being created to facilitate indoor farming. Hydroponic farming means growing plants without the use of soil. This type of farming is easy, plus it is far better than the traditional farming practices. It is better because it has smart grow chambers in it. These supplies with all the essentials for the growth to the plant. Nothing is extra, nothing is less, there would be perfect farming.
• Solar Outdoor Air Purifier With Air Quality Monitor: The pollution level is increasing day by day. It could be minimized by tackling the pollutant sources. The best, to reduce the pollution is by the use of air purifiers. Now the regular air purifiers which are made for the indoor air purification cannot be used to purify outdoor air. These indoor purifiers are small also are dependent on power supply. This project is the creation of an outdoor air purifier which can purify outdoor air. This purifier is energy independent as it uses solar panels for power purpose.
