ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha and it is a private engineering college in Delhi. Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee started this institution in 1999. GTBIT is approved by AICTE and ranked 9th Sikh Guru College. “Deg Tegh Fateh” is the motto of GTBIT which means victory of charity and arms. It is a Private Aided College.

 

ABOUT THE COURSE

The duration of this course is for 4 years. It comprises of 8 semesters, 2 semesters in each year. The course offers various branches like Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics and Instrumentation and Control Engineering. IT is pledged to give complete excellence in education and research. Firm recruitment policies, high standards for educational outcomes, conspicuous infrastructure, bold and dynamic placement initiatives. The students here, are trained in both academic and industry level of education by their teachers. There is also a mini project in the pre-final semester so as to help students get a hands-on experience on their subjects.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The candidate is eligible for the Engineering course in this branch if the candidate has passed the Intermediate Examination i.e., 10+2 from the Board of Intermediate Education which includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects.

 

DEPARTMENT OF IT

·        The department of Information Technology handles the influential analysis of developing excess of information and relating it towards the formulation of design and development of communication strategies.

·        The focus of information technology curriculum is on subjects like Data Communication Networks and Interface Programming, Theory of Automata, Operating Systems, Computer Graphics in the initial years.

·        More advanced subjects are taught in final year such as Software Engineering and Network Technology, Artificial Intelligence, E-Commerce and ERP, Network Management and Security.

·        The laboratories in IT department have several disciplines such as Software Engineering, Computer Networking, Operating Systems, Programming, Database Management systems and Internetworking.

·        The key areas of the department are Internetworking, Networking, Network Management security and Web Engineering.

·        Our focus here is to manifest students to the well known and modern technologies which help them in becoming efficient and professional engineers.
